Not so long ago, I introduced Ryan on our socials, and it’s safe to say everyone adored his cheeky personality and absolutely terrible work ethic!
Ryan was meant to join the farm pest control team alongside his brother, Riley, but it soon became clear that farm life just wasn’t for him. Instead, he spent most of his days sneaking in through the back door and finding himself a cosy little spot in the kitchen!
He quickly became a firm favourite with my little farmers, who loved nothing more than making him cosy beds to snuggle up in. He was also very tolerant of Clemmie carrying him around like a baby! A cheeky little chappie with a big personality, he had a special way of making himself at home and winning everyone’s hearts.
We’ve had Ryan since he was just eight weeks old, and he truly was part of the family. It’s heart-breaking to say that, last week, he crossed the rainbow bridge. We’ve laid him to rest in the garden, close to my old dog, Millie.
This post is a little tribute to a cat with a big, cheeky heart. There are already so many little moments that make us think of you, Ry-Ry, and we’ll miss your mischievous ways, your cosy kitchen corners and all the laughter you brought to our lives.
You may not have been much use as a farm cat, but you were certainly brilliant at being our cat!
Hope you’ve found yourself a lovely, cosy corner up there, Ry-Ry.
Sleep tight, little one. ❤️
We’ll miss you. X
